          On July 1st NBA Insider Shams Charnia broke a league altering move in which the Milwaukee Bucks WAIVED super star point guard Damien Lillard and his remaining 113 million dollar contract to make room for defending eastern conference champion Myles Turner.                  On December 11th 2024 the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees came together on a trade that looking back was one of the most underrated moves of the MLB offseason. The Sox dealt Right Handed Pitcher Elmer Rodriguez Cruz for Catcher Carlos Narvaez. It was originally touted as a prospect swap. The Sox taking a shot on an older prospect at the age of 26 just breaking into the scene last season where he started 4 games going 3 for 13 (batting .231) in his four starts for New York. This would turn into the stake that his holding Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow in his position.           The steal of the 2025 NHL Draft flew to Boston Massachusetts on Friday June 27th with BC Eagles Centerman James Hagens landing in Boston. Hagens 5'10 was the number one prospect in the draft with his dynamic athleticism, speed, vision, scoring and playmaking.        The Boston Red Sox started off their 2025 regular season campaign on March 27th against the 2023 World Series Champion Texas Rangers. The Sox had lofty expectations headed into the Regular Season. Notable additions being super star left handed pitcher Garret Crochet, 2 time World Series champion Walker Buehler and Houston Astros super star 3rrd baseman Alex Bregman.     The Boston Red Sox put up a fantastic showing on opening day with a 5 inning performance from Garret Crochet giving up 2 earned and 5 hits. Not the strongest but with Garret Whitlock in the rotation the Red Sox were able to weather the Ranger offense until the dynamic duo of Kristian Campbell and Wilyer Abreu showed up and showed out.             Concluding game 5 of the 2024 Western Conference final the Dallas Mavericks completed the gentleman sweep of the Minnesota Timberwolves with a final score of 124-103. Dallas advances to the NBA finals to face the Boston Celtics.      Boston had a 5 game series against the Miami Heat, a 5 game series against the Cleveland Cavaliers, followed by a 4 game sweep of the Indiana Pacers. The narrative surrounding Boston's Finals run is mediocre competition with injured stars. The Heat without Butler. The Cavs without Mitchell, and the Pacers without Haliburton.             The NFL Draft is 21 days away! This has been the day that Patriots nation has been waiting for since likely week 5 of the 2024 NFL Season. Yes the Patriots have been out of it for a while and aside from young talents Christian Gonzales and Demario Douglas the New England Patriots have lacked the pure thoroughbred that will sell the fanbase on the future of the Franchise.           On November 2nd, 2023 Red Sox Chairman, Tom Werner vowed the Red Sox would go full throttle in the offseason to improve the ball club for the 2024 season. The Sox have done anything but this during this offseason with cutting payroll to an already last place finishing team. The Red Sox signed Lucas Giolitto to a one year deal with an option in year 2. They traded Chris Sale to the Atlanta Braves for a 2nd base prospect Vaughn Grissom and have missed out on mega stars Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, along with of course, kicking the leader of the lockeroom Justin Turner to the curb after the amazing year he put up for the team last year.      The largest concerns to address in this off season was the Red Sox needed quality starting pitching and a right handed bat.        On January 11th it was official, Robert Kraft and Bill Belichick had parted ways, after a crash course of a rebuild post Tom Brady, Belichick and the Patriots had made the playoffs in 2021, had an 8-9 season in 2022 followed by a dismal 4-13 season in 2023.     What it comes down to is the "optics" surrounding Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots post departure of Tom Brady. This article is not here to absolve complete blame from Bill Belichick. There were mistakes he made over the years.           The New England Patriots actually won a game this week so I am back to write about one of their games for once. Bailey Zappe got the start in this game and it looked as though the team has moved on from Mac Jones following the loss to the New York Giants.  Bailey Zappe in this matchup threw for 240 yards with 3 touchdowns and 1 pick. A decent stat line for the young QB . Zappe in his career is 3-1 in games he has started the real question when it comes down to him is... what took so long? Zappe is currently playing with house money due to the Patriots being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs the earliest thy have been eliminated since the year 2000. The whole quarterback room has been a mess all year long. Mac Jones turtled completely into a shell, Zappe had been cut twice, Grier was cut, Corral never made it to the lockeroom, and Cunningham was just poached by the Ravens.           The pain staking process that is the 2023 NFL Season continues for Patriots fans. Falling to 2-7 on the year has been an experience unlike any other for fans that have grown up during the era of eat sleep and breathe Patriots football. The Patriots lost on their home field once again to another team that is at the bottom of the standings. The Washington Commanders were 3-5 going into this matchup and had sold at the NFL deadline. The Patriots at home go on to lose to a bad team that intentionally got worst to protect their draft standing. At this point...             Incase anybody drank the Kool Aid, the highlight of the season the week 7 upset against the Buffalo Bills, welcome back to reality.             The extensive search for the Chaim Bloom replacement has finally ended, former reliever Craig Breslow has been hired officially as the Chief Baseball Officer. My honest reaction, I am open minded and willing to give it a chance to see how it goes. At the back of my head I know that Breslow was the 10th candidate in the search. Meaning not their first, not their second, all the way down to their 10th choice.  On the other hand he was the assistant general manager for Theo Epstein and the Chicago Cubs. Breslow's real claim to fame is his job in charge of pitching for the Chicago Cubs.
