Red Sox Through the Month of March

The Boston Red Sox started off their 2025 regular season campaign on March 27th against the 2023 World Series Champion Texas Rangers. The Sox had lofty expectations headed into the Regular Season. Notable additions being super star left handed pitcher Garret Crochet, 2 time World Series champion Walker Buehler and Houston Astros super star 3rrd baseman Alex Bregman.

The Boston Red Sox put up a fantastic showing on opening day with a 5 inning performance from Garret Crochet giving up 2 earned and 5 hits. Not the strongest but with Garret Whitlock in the rotation the Red Sox were able to weather the Ranger offense until the dynamic duo of Kristian Campbell and Wilyer Abreu showed up and showed out. Kampbell in the late innings came up huge with competitive at bats leading to his first base hit and and set up walk. Abreu made the noise on opening night with a pair of homer runs including the game winner in the 8th inning.

While opening day went well for the Sox in Albrighton the Red Sox went into some tough adversity early dropping there next straight 4 games. The Red Sox fell to a 1-4 record with big losses to the Texas Rangers and then Baltimore Orioles. Superstar Rafael Devers could not find his groove on the dish going 0/19 with 15 strike outs was an all time stat line for the history of the sport. An infamous moment in the career for the Sox super star slugger.

The Red Sox made some huge moves during the break locking their Ace Garret Crochet on a 6 year 170 million dollar extension and up start prodigy Kristian Campbell to an 8 year 60 million dollar deal. The two players responded in a big way for the club. The Sox on the verge of falling to 1-5 on the season had Crochet on the mound who pounded the O's. Crochet went 8 scoreless with 8 K's straight bullets. Campbell has also emerged in the early going here as one of the top young players in the sport. Boasting a .423 BA and 1.323 OPS the offensive stat line is elite. Campbell has 11 hits 2 bombs and 5 RBI's already. The Sox have an exciting young player at 2nd locked in for years to come.

The Red Sox would go on to win their last game in Camden yards followed by a dramatic series of offensive fire power in their Home Opener against the St. Louis Cardinals. With a pair of back to back home runs from Trevor Story and Wilyer Abreu, the Red Sox are on a role currently. Rafael Devers has started to look a bit like his old self which is vital for this team to perform to their expectations of contenting in the American League East division. The Boston Red Sox are currently 4th in the division with a 4-4 record. A strong home stand will go along way for this team to climb its way into the top of the division.

Red Sox lace them, up tomorrow for game 2 against the Cards at 4:05 at Fenway Park.

Earn Greatness
