The president of Snake operations opened his big mouth to the press today, so naturally... I'm here.  Kennedy spoke to the press today the question came up regarding the Red Sox seriousness to compete for World Series championships in 2026 and the years following due to the Sox missing on 3rd baseman Alex Bregman, the quote " if Alex Bregman wanted to be here he ultimately would be here" is the bulletin board material that sparked the return of the Bay State Blogspot. The Red Sox missed on Alex Bregman by north of 10 million dollars, another year, and a no trade clause... The Sox weren't close to the offer the Chicago Cubs made. Sam Kennedy spinning the story on Bregman is vintage, and Red Sox fans, know not to buy in to the noise, from the president. While I could do a whole post on Sam... Is it Dame Time in Boston?

          On July 1st NBA Insider Shams Charnia broke a league altering move in which the Milwaukee Bucks WAIVED super star point guard Damien Lillard and his remaining 113 million dollar contract to make room for defending eastern conference champion Myles Turner. Two quick points on this move, the Bucks are incredibly desperate, the Dame Giannis experiment was terminated after 1 season, the only rationale of this move is retaining Giannis. A ntetokounmpo had to have been displeased with how things were going with Lillard and must have told them, to figure something out and figure it out quickly or he will be leaving in free agency. The Emergence of Carlos Narvaez

                 On December 11th 2024 the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees came together on a trade that looking back was one of the most underrated moves of the MLB offseason. The Sox dealt Right Handed Pitcher Elmer Rodriguez Cruz for Catcher Carlos Narvaez. It was originally touted as a prospect swap. The Sox taking a shot on an older prospect at the age of 26 just breaking into the scene last season where he started 4 games going 3 for 13 (batting .231) in his four starts for New York. This would turn into the stake that his holding Chief Baseball Officer Craig Breslow in his position. While he has missed on the Chris Sale Vaughn Grissom move, The Rafael Devers Salary Dump, and the Quinn Priester project, the Narvaez move was a find that he deserves credit for.     With the ample opportunity in 2025 with Connor Wong having a historically bad season the catcher position was an chasm of a hole in the beginning of 2025...

Faith in Foxboro 2025?

            Following back to back devastating seasons the New England Patriots revamped the entire operation in Foxboro Massachusetts. Mayo OUT, Vrabel IN. Jerod Mayo at the end of the day got a raw deal with the roster given to him and the actual power he had as the head coach. You could tell Elliot Wolfe and Robert Kraft were intentionally showing the media and fans that Mayo was making the calls, to which the fans responded with doth protest too much. Mayo was unqualified at the end of the day, his lockeroom was out of control, players such as Jalani Tavai coming at the fanbase, Javon Baker whining about a traffic cop, the Jabrill Peppers saga, and even Barmore got into it a little bit last year.           The steal of the 2025 NHL Draft flew to Boston Massachusetts on Friday June 27th with BC Eagles Centerman James Hagens landing in Boston. Hagens 5'10 was the number one prospect in the draft with his dynamic athleticism, speed, vision, scoring and playmaking. Hagens going into the Hockey East 2025 season had lofty expectations, as one of the top prospects in the draft along with Matthew Shaefer, and Michael Misa.      Hagens stock touted as the top talent for almost the entire season yet somehow his stock dropped in the last month leading into the NHL Draft, it seemed that General Mangers had convinced themselves that Hagens was just not physical enough to be taken over the other top picks in the draft. With the Florida Panthers winning back to back Cups, physicality is the rage right now in the NHL. Celtics will Surprise in 2026

            We all knew when Brad Stevens moved Marcus Smart and Robert Williams for Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday, the Celtics created a 2 year window where they had the strongest roster in the league head -toe. Stevens went out and took the league with his fists and the Celtics were a juggernaut of a roster. The clock has officially struck midnight, and Jrue Holiday is in Portland, Porzingis is in Atlanta, and Jayson Tatum is in a boot. I am here to tell you that despite the contrast of the roster from the last prior years the Celtics should not strip it down to the nuts and bolts...
