1 day till Puck drop; Expectations for 2024

The final day of pre season hockey has finished the Boston Bruins kick off the 2024 campaign beginning tomorrow October 11th, the puck drops at 7:30 in TD Garden. Finishing the pre season the question with Bruins Hockey is can they make the playoffs in a stacked Atlantic Division surrounded by a deeper eastern conference.
It runs deep in the Atlantic, the Buffalo Sabres retained core center Zemgus Girgensons along with adding Erik Johnson to the defensive ice. The Toronto Maple Leaf's stole Bertuzzi in free agency from the Bruins, an affair that could prove devastating for Boston. The Florida Panthers run the Conference at the moment, Matthew Tkachuk and Florida now have a targets on their back following the run they went on last post season. The Tampa Bay Lightning traded Ross Colton to the Colorado Avalanche which a brutal move similar to the Bruins with Taylor Hall. Taylor Hall is reunited in TD garden, now as a Chicago Blackhawk tomorrow evening.
The Goal for the Boston Bruins this season should be to make the post season, they were the greatest regular season team of all time, they lost core players of the team last year, it should not pose to be enough to gate them from a post season appearance. They have the best Goalie tandem in the league, they still have Brad Marchand now named captain. Charlie McAvoy who lead a fierce Bruins defense last season, and of course... They still have David Pasternak who has MVP written all over him.
The way the Bruins are going to win games this season will come down to the depth on defense, Brandon Carlo, Matt Grzelcyk, and Hampus Lindholm need to step up in a massive way to keep teams from break aways .
The depth on wing looks to be comparable with the rest of the league, manned by David Pasternak and Jake Debrusk on the Right Line. Brad Marchand and Trent Frederic on  the Left Wing, the first two lines are legitimate threats with young scrappy players.
The Center depth will be tested this season aswell, the Bruins will be looking for with the new minutes and workload for Pavel Zacha and Charlie Coyle to develop into elite two way centers for the Black and Gold.
Closing the Pre Season the Boston Bruins could have found the missing piece squeezing into the final line on the roster. Matt Poitras who looks to be the top prospect for the Bruins went on an absolute heater. Scoring a goal in each of his last two pre season games, definably making the most out of a situation given to you. Poitras will likely be your final line Center this season, with time for the kid to grow and develop. The Rookie is 19 and it will be to much to rely on him to carry the team this season, but it will be good to put him in legit NHL competition and see him grow.
The honest take I have with the goaltender combination, the Bruins are in on Swayman, they are set to make him the starter... soon. I believe despite Ullmark winning the Vesna last season teams still were not offering a good price to trade for him. If Ullmark shows out once again during the season I could see him being moved by the trade deadline. The Bruins are tied into over 8 million in cap space on the two goalies which is a crazy number, although if they are going ot make the playoffs this season, I would not be surprised if it came down to the bear hug duo. The Story starts tomorrow, Puck drop at 7:30... in the Garden, be there!
