Kennedy spoke to the press today the question came up regarding the Red Sox seriousness to compete for World Series championships in 2026 and the years following due to the Sox missing on 3rd baseman Alex Bregman, the quote " if Alex Bregman wanted to be here he ultimately would be here" is the bulletin board material that sparked the return of the Bay State Blogspot. The Red Sox missed on Alex Bregman by north of 10 million dollars, another year, and a no trade clause... The Sox weren't close to the offer the Chicago Cubs made.
